What we do
Flooring services
Tile installation
Porcelain and ceramic tile for living areas, kitchens, baths and laundry rooms, including large-format and wood-look styles. The layout is planned before the first tile is set so cuts land where you won’t notice them.
Luxury vinyl plank (LVP)
A warm, quiet, water-resistant floor that usually installs faster than tile. We help you compare wear layers and core types so the product fits the room and your budget.
Floor removal & replacement
Taking out carpet, old tile or laminate, dealing with leftover adhesive and getting the slab flat and ready for the new floor.
Baseboards & transitions
The finishing details between rooms and flooring types that make a new floor look finished rather than patched.
Compare
Tile or luxury vinyl plank?
Both are popular in Southwest Florida homes. Here is how they generally compare — we’ll help you weigh them room by room.
| Porcelain / ceramic tile | Luxury vinyl plank | |
|---|---|---|
| Feel underfoot | Hard and cool | Softer and warmer |
| Water | Very water-resistant when properly grouted | Many products are waterproof; edges and seams still matter |
| Durability | Very hard-wearing; a tile can crack under a heavy impact | Resists everyday wear; can dent under heavy, sharp loads |
| Installation | Longer — setting materials and grout need time to cure | Usually faster, often floated over a prepared slab |
| Sound | Can be louder | Generally quieter |
| Often chosen for | Baths, kitchens, entries, laundry rooms | Bedrooms, living areas, whole-home updates |
General guidance only — performance varies by product. We’ll show you specific options during your estimate.
Local know-how
What matters for floors in Southwest Florida
01 — Slab
Moisture in the slab
Concrete slabs can hold moisture. Checking it before installation helps avoid adhesive and cupping problems, and many flooring products require it.
02 — Prep
A flat surface
Tile and plank both need a flat base. Low spots and ridges are ground or filled before installation — not hidden under the new floor.
03 — Climate
Room to move
Heat and humidity make expansion gaps at walls and doorways important, especially for floating floors.

Questions
Common questions about flooring
Have a different question? Ask when you request your estimate, or give us a call.
Can new flooring go over my existing tile?
Sometimes, but it isn’t always a good idea. Floor height, doors, transitions and the condition of the old tile all matter. We’ll look during the estimate and tell you honestly whether removal is the better option.
How long does a flooring project take?
It depends on the square footage, the material and how much preparation the slab needs. Your written estimate includes an expected timeline.
Is luxury vinyl plank waterproof?
Many LVP products are sold as waterproof, meaning the planks won’t swell from water. Water can still get underneath at edges and seams, so installation details matter in kitchens, baths and laundry rooms.
Do I need to clear the rooms myself?
We’ll agree on a plan before the project starts, including which rooms need to be cleared and in what order.
