Interior painting, with the prep done right

Fresh paint is one of the most cost-effective updates you can make. The difference between a good paint job and a great one is preparation: patching, caulking, priming and protecting everything that isn’t being painted.

  • Walls, ceilings, trim and doors
  • Patching, caulking and priming
  • Floors and furniture protected

What we do

Interior painting services

Walls & ceilings

Single rooms to whole interiors, including tall entry and great-room walls.

Trim, doors & baseboards

Smooth, durable finishes on the surfaces that get touched and bumped the most.

Surface preparation

Nail holes and dings patched, gaps caulked, stains spot-primed and glossy surfaces scuffed so new paint bonds.

Color & sheen guidance

Help choosing colors and the right sheen for each room, from flat ceilings to scrubbable kitchen and bath walls.

Guide

Choosing the right sheen

Sheen changes how paint looks and how well it cleans. A common approach:

SheenLookTypical use
Flat / matteNo shine; hides surface flawsCeilings, low-traffic rooms
EggshellSoft, low sheen; easier to clean than flatLiving areas, bedrooms
SatinSlight sheen; more scrubbableKitchens, baths, hallways, kids’ rooms
Semi-glossNoticeable shine; very durableTrim, doors, cabinets

Product lines vary — we’ll recommend specific products for your home.

Local know-how

Painting indoors in a humid climate

01 — Humidity

Dry and cure time

High humidity slows drying and curing. Keeping the air conditioning running during and after painting helps.

02 — Wet rooms

Moisture-prone spaces

Baths and laundry rooms benefit from finishes formulated to resist moisture and mildew.

03 — Stains

Water marks on ceilings

Old water stains bleed through regular paint unless they’re sealed with a stain-blocking primer — and the source should be fixed first.

Questions

Common questions about interior painting

Have a different question? Ask when you request your estimate, or give us a call.

Can you paint just one room?

Yes — projects can be a single room, a few rooms or a whole interior.

Should the ceilings be painted too?

If the walls are getting new color, older ceilings can look dingy by comparison. Painting them at the same time keeps everything fresh and is usually more efficient.

How soon can I clean newly painted walls?

Paint can feel dry within hours but takes longer to fully cure — often a few weeks, depending on the product and humidity. Stick to light cleaning until then.

Do I need to move furniture?

We’ll agree on a plan beforehand. Small items and wall hangings should be cleared; larger furniture is usually moved to the middle of the room and covered.
