Good to know
Is this a job or subcontract work?
Subcontract work. We partner with independent subcontractors who work directly for Cape Fort Homes on our homeowners’ projects.
How are jobs priced?
Every job is priced and agreed before work starts — either at our preset rates for the task or from an estimate you give us. You’ll get a clear, written scope of what the job includes.
Do I need a license?
If your trade requires a state or local license, you need a current one — plumbing and electrical work always do. We verify licenses on MyFloridaLicense.com.
What insurance do I need?
General liability insurance, plus workers’ compensation coverage or a valid exemption as Florida law requires. Before your first job we’ll ask for a current certificate of insurance.
Why don’t you ask for my W-9 on the form?
A W-9 includes your Social Security or tax ID number, so we never collect it through a website form. If we move forward, we’ll ask for it in a secure way before your first job.
Which areas do you work in?
Our projects are in Southwest Florida. Tell us every area you can cover — it helps us match you with work close to you.
